Sisters Amalia and Manuela Sierra began their swimwear company in their hometown of Medellin, Colombia. Maaji is inspired greatly by the biodiversity of Colombia, the second most biodiverse country in the world. The sisters’ passion for fashion, along with the entrepreneurial spirit their parents instilled in them, has shaped Maaji into the B Corporation it is today. 2. Ommie Snacks
Founder of Ommie Snacks, Claudia Fierro-Poppen, started her business with one clear purpose in mind: to inspire people to eat and live more mindfully. After discovering that her son had a severe allergy to nuts and tree nuts, Claudia knew she needed to find a healthy snack for her family to enjoy that was allergy-friendly. Ommie Snacks’ energy bars are hand-crafted with simple ingredients, to ensure that they are both healthy and delicious.
3. Dominique Cosmetics
Christen Dominique, the co-founder of Dominique Cosmetics, wanted to create a brand that helped people look and feel beautiful. With her experience as a freelance makeup artist, Christen discovered the need for more multi-purpose products that were both practical and innovative. Dominique Cosmetics features makeup products that are high quality while not breaking the bank.
4. Luna Magic
Luna Magic was founded by Afro-Latina & Dominican-American sisters Shaira and Mabel Frías. This colorful and innovative beauty brand was heavily inspired by the sisters’ love of Latin culture and music. Accepting a deal from Barbara Corcoran on Shark Tank, Shaira and Mabel are dedicated to building the Luna Magic brand to continue to inspire inclusivity in the beauty community.
